MeshCore is an open-source, decentralized, and encrypted off-grid mesh communication platform that uses long-range LoRa radio technology. It allows users to send secure text messages and data peer-to-peer over kilometers without relying on cellular networks, Wi-Fi, or the Internet.
PLEASE NOTE: As of July 2026, I have officially migrated from Meshtastic to MeshCore. This is the case with most users in my area. I may occasionally flash one of my EDC nodes back to Meshtastic when attending certain events such as hamfests, etc. Otherwise, you will find me on MeshCore.

The MeshCore Internet map does not contain all MeshCore nodes! Users must manually add their nodes to the Internet map. Many, if not most, MeshCore nodes that exist on the public RF mesh do not appear on this map. Lack of nodes in your area on this map does not necessarily mean a lack of nodes on-the-air in your area.
If you are in the Cleveland, Tennessee (or surrounding) area, you will want to look at TennMesh for information on how to setup your MeshCore node. The TennMesh website contains all the information you need to get started, and contains the settings we use in our area.
